VRLA means valve-regulated lead-acid. It is familiar and can have a lower purchase price, but it is heavy, has lower usable energy per kilogram and is sensitive to deep discharge, heat and charging practice. LFP is lighter and typically offers more usable energy and cycle life, with a suitable BMS and charger.
Compare the complete system
Compare pack weight, usable Wh, cycle-life test conditions, charger, warranty, replacement price, charging time and local support. A VRLA scooter may make sense when the purchase budget is tight and short routes dominate. LFP often makes more sense for frequent use or when carrying the pack matters.
Do not fit an LFP pack in place of VRLA without confirming voltage, charger profile, BMS current limits, enclosure, fuse and controller compatibility.
